Answer:

Let Jimmy sold the tickets for Rsx.

so,Ankitesh sold it for 1 whole 3/8 Times of x =11/8x.

ATQ

x+11/8 x=3800

8x+11x/8=3800 (add by taking lcm)

8x+11x=3800×8

8x+11x=30400

19x=30400

x=30400/19

=1600.

therefore Jimmy sold the tickets for Rs 1600

and Ankitesh sold the tickets for Rs11/8×1600

=Rs2200

Answer:

2200,1600

Step-by-step explanation:

As per the given statement:

Ticket sold by Ankitesh = 1 (3/8) of Jimmy's sold tickets.

Now,

Jimmy's sold tickets + Ankitesh sold tickets = 3800

⇒ Jimmy's sold tickets + 1 (3/8) Jimmy's sold tickets = 3800

⇒ Jimmy's sold tickets[1 + 1 3/8] = 3800

⇒ Jimmy's sold tickets[1 + 11/8] = 3800

⇒ Jimmy's sold tickets [19/8] = 3800

⇒ Jimmy's sold tickets = 3800 * 8/19

⇒ Jimmy's sold tickets = 1600

Now,

Ankitesh's sold tickets = 3800 - 1600 = 2200.

Therefore:

Money collected by Ankitesh = 2200

Money collected by Jimmy = 1600

Hope it helps!
