we write 1 3/8 as 11/8

we assume "RS 3800" means "3800 tickets were sold"

let 'x' represent the amount sold by Jimmy, then '(11/8)x' represents the number of tickets Ankitesh sold

3800 = x + (11/8)x

solving for 'x' we have x=1600

3800-1600 = 2200

based on our understanding of the problem statement, Jimmy sold 1600 tickets and Ankitesh sold 2200 tickets
