Ankith takes as long as Balaji and Chandu together take to finish a task. Ankith and Balaji working together finish the
task in 10 days. Chandu alone can do the same task in 15 days. In how many days can Balaji alone complete the same
task?​

  • Now work done by Ankith and Balaji in 1 day = 1/10
  • So work done by Chandu in 1 day = 1/15  
  • So work done by Ankith Balaji an Chandu in 1 day = 1/10 + 1/15 = 5/30 = 1/6  
  • Let work done by Ankith in 1 day be x
  • So work done by Balaji and Chandu in 1 day be x
  • So x + x = 1/6
  • Or x = 1/12
  • Therefore work done by Balaji and Chandu in 1 day will be = 1/12
  • So work done by Balaji in 1 day will be 1/12 – 1/15  
  •                                                                = 5 – 4 / 60  
  •                                                                = 1/60
  • Therefore Balaji alone can do the work in 60 days.
