Let the reduced price be x

GST at the rate of 18%=

$x \times \frac{18}{100} = \frac{18x}{100}$

And Amount=

$\frac{18x}{100} + x = \frac{118x}{100}$

Equating the values

$\frac{118x}{100} = 10620 \\ x = \frac{10620 \times 100}{118} \\ x = 9000$

and now

Amount reduced by the shopkeeper

=10620-9000

=1620

Therefore, the amount reduced by the shopkeeper is Rs. 1620
