Anna Hazare renews anti-corruption agitation, to launch new movement in December
..

Anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare plans to launch another campaign against corruption either by December 2017 or January 2018 in the national capital.

Hazare, who was in Delhi where he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, expressed his displeasure with the ruling government over rampant corruption. He went on to state that according to reports India ranks the most corrupt in Asia while Pakistan is 4th and until he breathes his last, he will strive to fight corruption in the system.

Anna Haraze launched a massive nationwide movement -- India Against Corruption-- years back and was even arrested for his demonstration in Delhi's Ram Leela Maidan.

Today, he announced before the media that he has written various letters to the PM citing his displeasure with the rampant corruption, but received no reply and so he will be launching his movement again.

"This is a fight against corruption. The people need Lokpal and Lokayukta to bring about a change in the system. The government is sitting on this for 3 years even though a resolution has been passed. I will call a meeting of all my volunteers on October 7th and 8th and we will decide on how we will take the movement forward," said Anna Hazare, while speaking to India Today.

In 2011, many prominent faces joined hands with Anna Haraze. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Puducherry Lt.  Governor Kiren Bedi, Swaraj Abhiyan's Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan were amongst the popular faces. However, today Anna was all by himself at Rajghat.

"I learnt my lesson the last time as I saw people rise politically through my movement. This time volunteers have to sign an affidavit stating that they will not join any political party or float their own once they are part of this movement against corruption," he said.

Arvind Kejriwal stepped into the political arena by standing beside Anna Hazare, but Anna seems to be let down by him the most. "I  know Arvind won't ask me to be part of this, even if he does, I'll ask him to stand 5 feet away from me," he added.

Anna Hazare is fighting for the implementation of the Lokpal Bill, the appointment of the Lokayukta and the implementation of the Swaminathan Commission.
