Anne Sullivan was a good teacher and also a great human being. She understood Helen's condition and helped her cope with her handicap. She taught most of her classes in fields or in garden as Helen was a nature lover. She also made her "think" and correlate things with what she know already. She believed that her eagerness to know her surrounding and her love towards nature will help to learn everything around her.
She was very encouraging. When Helen had lost her confidence after the accusation of plagiarism, it was her mentor (Anne Sullivan) who encouraged her to write her life story or Autobiography (THE STORY OF MY LIFE) which made her role model for many.
She was a very patient person. When Helen grabbed food with her hands, Anne Sullivan tried to make her eat with spoon. Helen was tossing it away many times. But Anne Sullivan was very patient and made her eat with spoon. Even she must write same words again and again in Helen's hands if she didn't understand it. She did it with her patience. Even when Helen was confused with the water and mug, she patiently tried to make her understand many times and eventually she pour water from the well to make her understand the difference between water and mug.
Anne Sullivan was very loving and caring towards Helen. She wanted to teach her about the world, whether through academics or abstract life lessons that come from being immersed in nature. She designed her teaching methods accordingly. She made every subject so real that it can be remembered easily for a longer time.
Hope it helps:)
