Anne’s diary is the best proof to indicate that she was concerned about her own personality. She made no attempt to hide this fact in her diary. She mentioned that her parents along with their friends considered her to be not as beautiful and intelligent as her sister Margot. However, she noted that she was loved for her sense of humor and personality. Anne Frank resented this attitude.

Additionally, every page of her diary gave an insight to her personality – whether she was at the height of happiness about her relationship with Peter Van Daan or in despair of having to live in hiding or irritated about living with people whom she disliked.
