Explanation: The first Nobel Prizes were awarded in the fields of physics, chemistry, medicine, literature, and peace on 10th December 1901 in Stockholm, Sweden.

It was held on the eve of the fifth death anniversary of Alfred Nobel. He was a Swedish who invented dynamite and other explosives. In his third and last will which he signed on 27th November 1895 in Paris, he wished to distribute his major part of his wealth to persons for the valuable contribution in the field of  physics, chemistry, literature, physiology, medicine and peace.

Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen was the first recipient of the Nobel Prize in Physics 1901 for his mysterious image created by a invisible ray that showed inside images of human hand.
