• Nothing in this Article will be:

1. Construed as transferring to the Governor any functions granted by any law currently in effect to any other authority or as preventing
2. Parliament or the State Legislature from granting functions by law to any authority subordinate to the Governor.

• Under accordance with Article 161, the governor may commute, suspend, or remit sentences in specific circumstances.
• Any person guilty of any offence against any law relating to an issue to which the executive power of the State extends may be granted a pardon, reprieve, respite, or remission of penalty, or their sentence may be suspended, remitted, or commuted, by the Governor of a State.
