In a galvanic cell, electrons will move in to the anode. Since electrons carry a negative charge, then the anode is negatively charged. It's because the protons are attracted to the cathode, so it's mainly positive, and therefore is positively charged.

hi
here is your answer
THIS STATEMENT IS WRONG, AS ANODE HAS POSITIVE CHARGE AND CATHODE HAS NEGATIVE CHARGE.
I hope it will help you

HYDROGEN LIBERATED ANODE AS IT HAS H+IONS

HOPE IT HELPS YOU.

nithin441: tell me answer
aliza04: I already given you the answer
nithin441: then why hydrogenliberated at cathode
aliza04: because hydrogen has both h+ and h- ions
aliza04: both positive and negative ions
aliza04: so hydrogen liberated both cathode and anode
