Answer:

Anomalous expansion of water is an abnormal property of water whereby it expands instead of contracting when the temperature goes from 4°C to 0°C, and it becomes less dense. The density becomes less as it freezes because molecules of water normally form open crystal structures when in solid form.

Thank you!

Hope it helps!

Answer:

Water has a anomalous expansion by which it contracts on cooling like any other liquid until the temperature of 4 degrees celcius and then begins to expand until 0 degrees celcius. This is why the volume of ice of a certain mass is more than the volume of water of the same mass.

Hope this helps:)

Pleassee mark this as brainliest if possible.

Thank you :).
