Answer:

A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky. It takes the form of a multicoloured circular arc. Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the Sun.

Answer:

rainbow is formed by dispersion and then splitting  of white light into 7 colours. when it rains , the light undergoes dispersion. the dust particles in the air stick to the surface of water droplets. these water drops act as prism.

when the light enters the water droplet , it bends towards the normal as water droplet is denser than air . this ray of light first undergoes dispersion , refraction and total internal reflection to comeout as rainbow.

hope you understand this. let me know if you have anything to ask about this question
