Answer:

(a) No. We prepare food from the materials that are either produced by plants or from other non vegetarian materials. We do not produce the raw materials our own needed to cook the food. Hence we depend on autotrophs and heterotrophs for food . So we are too a heterotroph.

(b) Autotrophs  are the organisms which are greater in number. It is because heterotrophs are dependent on autotrophs to meet their food requirements. If heterotrophs exceed the number of autotrophs, then all the autotrophs will vanish and so will be the heterotrophs.

(c) In oceans , there are a variety of animals we can depend on . But in desert regions, the population of different kinds of organisms are very low. So every organism should prepare their own food for living as there is no one to depend on.

(d) Endoparasitic and Ectoparasitic animals absorbs the nutrients and other essential material from the host on which they are living on . Hence the host could not live longer strongly as all of its energy will be absorbed by the parasites.

(e) The green part of the plant body contain a pigment called as Chlorophyll . Without these Chlorophylls Plants can't produce any food as they are the key element for food production. So Plants prepare food only from the Green Area ie. the leaves of the plants.
