a) In any organism the number of chromosomes must keep constant. Gametes produce by meiosis process and it becomes haploid.

when male haploid gamete and female haploid gamete combine to diplod zygote formation takes place.

b) Meiosis process is a type of cell division in which homologous chromosomes mixes and exchange the genetic material and haploid gamete forms.

Hence meiosis shows reduction division.

c) Children of same parents are different at some aspects due to the variation and of exchange of genetic material in between parental chromosomes.
