when heat increases the space between the water molecules increases and the capacity to dissolve more of the solute (potassium nitrate).when the temperature of the solvent (water) decreases the space between the molecule decreases thus forcing the solute to precipitate.but the salt (potassium nitrate)is least likely to precipitate as a single molecule and thus forming a crystal
