mean is equal to sum of all observation by number of observations

mean=43x/20

43=43×20/20

now subtracting 6 from 20 observations

=43×20-120/20

=860-120/20

=740/20

=37

Hence the new mean is 37

if u noticed its 43-6=37

Answer: 37

Step-by-step explanation:

Let 20 numbers be x_{1} , x_{2}, x_{3},..............., x_{20}

Mean of 20 numbers = \frac{x_{1} + x_{2} + x_{3} + ............... + x_{20}}{20} = 43

After subtracting 6 from each number,

mean = \frac{(x_{1}-6) + (x_{2}-6) + (x_{3}-6) + ............... + (x_{20}-6)}{20}

          = \frac{x_{1} + x_{2} + x_{3} + ............... + x_{20}}{20} - \frac{20*6}{20}

          = 43 - 6

          = 37
