Given ;
3 parallel resistors of ;
- R1 = 30 Ω
- R2 = 5 Ω
- R3 = 10 Ω
Total Voltage = 3 + 3 = 6V
Using ohm's law
a)
I through R1 =>
- V = IR
- 6 = I×30
- I1 = 1/5 A
I through R2 =>
- V = IR
- 6 = I×5
- I2 = 6/5
I through R3 =>
- V = IR
- 6 = I×10
- I3 = 3/5
b)
Total I through all the resistors ;
= I1 + I2 + I3
- 1/5 + 6/5 + 3/5
- 10/5
- 2 A
c)Total resistance ; by ohm's law;
- V = IR
- 6 = 2×R
- R = 3Ω
