Given ;

3 parallel resistors of ;

  • R1 = 30 Ω
  • R2 = 5 Ω
  • R3 = 10 Ω

Total Voltage = 3 + 3 = 6V

Using ohm's law

a)

I through R1 =>

  • V = IR
  • 6 = I×30
  • I1 = 1/5 A

I through R2 =>

  • V = IR
  • 6 = I×5
  • I2 = 6/5

I through R3 =>

  • V = IR
  • 6 = I×10
  • I3 = 3/5

b)

Total I through all the resistors ;

= I1 + I2 + I3

  • 1/5 + 6/5 + 3/5
  • 10/5
  • 2 A

c)Total resistance ; by ohm's law;

  • V = IR
  • 6 = 2×R
  • R = 3Ω
