Construction : draw seg CD.
Proof : Line AB is a tangent to the large circle at the point A and seg AC is a chord.
angle BAC = angle CDA..... ( angle in the alternate segment.).... (1)
line AB is a tangent to the smaller circle at the point B and seg CB is a chord.
therefore,
angle ABC = angle CDB..... (angle in the alternate segment.).... (2)
adding results (1) and (2),
angle BAC +angle ABC =angle CDB + angle CDA.....(3)
angel CDA+ angle CDB =angle ADB... angle addition postulate)... (4)
from (3) and (4),
angle BAC + angle ABC =angle ADB..... (5)
