35 = 3×10 + 5 .

Let the tens digit be x, and units digit be y .
Given that. : xy = 12......... (1)
Further ,
(10×x + y ) + 36 = (10×y + x)......(2)
digits interchanged there places after adding 36 in our original number.
Further ,
replace x or y by using (1) and place the value in (2).
let's replace y from the (2). by using equation (1) [ y = 12/x] :
[10x + (12/x) ] +36 = [10× (12/x) + x ]
=>10x + (12/x) + 36 = (120/x) + x
=> 9x + 36 = 108/x
=> 9x² + 36x - 108 = 0 .
dividing the whole by 9 ,we get ,
