Ans this, it's urgent.

How to recognise universal set and union in a particular question?

For an instance..
In my above attachment, in example 14 they have took the 10,000 families in town as universal set.

And in example 4 they have took the group of 50 people as union.

And I am confused abt how to recognise union & universal

universal means all the famikies will come i.e whole universe and union means only 2 particular group mixed

CHAHIT1: union means only 2 mix groups for eg: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 ,10,11,12

CHAHIT1: ina a circle suppose 2 circles in 1st circle 1,2,4,6,5 are there and in 2nd circle 9,10,11 are there and no. 8 is in both the circles and the this is called a union

CHAHIT1: only no. in circles r denoted as unoin and all the no.s i.e 1 to 12 are called as universal
