Mass of gun, M = 10kg

Mass of each bullet, m= 20g = 0.02kg
Velocity of each bullet = 300 m/s
Number of bullets per second , n = 4

Force needed to hold gun while firing is the rate of change in momentum.

rate of change in momentum = change in momentum per second = n×mv = 4×0.02×300 = 24 N

Thus force required to hold the gun in position is 24 N.
