as \: per \: given

 =  > a_{m} = n \\  =  > a + (m - 1)d = n ........(1)\\  \\ and \\  \\  =  > a_{n} = m \\  =  > a + (n - 1)d = m........(2) \\  \\ so \: by \: (2) - (1) \\  =  > (n - {\cancel{1}} - m + {\cancel{1}})d = m - n \\  =  > (n - m) d= m - n \\  =  >  - (m - n)d = m - n \\  =  > d =   - \frac{\cancel{m - n}}{\cancel{m - n}}  \\  =  > d =  - 1 \\  \\ put \: the \: value \: of \: d =  - 1 \: in \: (2) \\  =  > a + (n - 1)( - 1) = m \\  =  > a - n  + 1 = m \\   = > a = m + n - 1 \\  \\ so \: p \: th \: term \: is \\  =  > a_{p} \\  =  > a + (p - 1)d \\  =  > (m + n - 1) + (p - 1)( - 1) \\  =  > m + n - 1 - p + 1 \\  =  > m + n - p
