Step-by-step explanation:

As per question the length of sheet is 4.40 m = 440 cm, and the width is 1.16 m = 116 cm, Radius = 7 cm , & Height = 20 cm

So the area of given size sheet will be = length x width

                                                                = 440 x 116

                                                                = 51040 cm^2cm2

Now the area of sheet required for making one tin = 2\pi rh2πrh + 2\pi r^22πr2

    = 2*\frac{22}{7} *7*20 +2*\frac{22}{7} *7^22∗722∗7∗20+2∗722∗72

    = 880 + 308

    = 1188 cm^2cm2

Now according to question 88 cm^2cm2 sheet is wasted in making one tin,

So the totatl area of sheet required to make one tin = 1188 + 88

                                                                                      = 1276 cm^2cm2

So the number of tin which can be made from the given sheet = \frac{Total area of given sheet}{Total area required for one tin}TotalarearequiredforonetinTotalareaofgivensheet

              = \frac{51040}{1276}127651040

              = 40 (Ans)
