Answer:-

5. Let the original number be x + 10y and interchanged number be y + 10x

According to the question,

x + y = 7 (i)

x + 10y + 27 = y + 10x

9x - 9y = 27

9 ( x - y ) = 27

x - y = 3 (ii)

Solving (i) and (ii)

2x = 10

x = 5 put in (i)

5 + y = 7

y = 2

Now,

Original number = x + 10y

= 5 + 10(2)

= 25

Interchanged number = y + 10x

= 2 + 10(5)

= 52

6. Let the two consecutive even numbers be x and x + 2

According to the question,

x + x + 2 = 18

2x + 2 = 18

2 ( x + 1 ) = 18

x + 1 = 9

x = 8 , x + 2 = 10

Hence, the numbers are 8 & 10
