We have Vx=(ky)i and Vy=(kx)j
Now substituting Vx and Vy by dx/dt and dy/dt respectively we get:
dx/dt=ky…..(1) and dy/dt=kx…(2)
Integrating these equations w.r.t time we get
x=kyt…(3) and y=kxt…..(4)
Now dividing equation (3) and (4) we get :
x/y=y/x
Or x^2-y^2=0 which on further simplification gives (Y=+X or Y=-X) as the equation of path of particle
Hope it helps…
So option (D)
