viruses are on the borderline between living and nonliving because they show the body properties when they inside the host body they show living properties and they considered as living because they have their own DNA and RNA . they have ability to reproduce when inside the host body.

This is because they are acellular (they do not have proteins present in cell).....this shows that they are non-living and cannot reproduce but once they enter host’s body the leave there genetic material and use the energy of host’s body to reproduce.....when a lot of cells are reproduced the host cell dies and virus is invade to all the organs......therefore they are called the boderline or connecting link between living and non living
