Answer:

x = 4 and x=3

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

x^2 - 7x +12 =0 be the quadratic equation.

we hae to find the value of x by completing square method.

Let x^2 - 7x +12 =0

Here b/2 = -7/2

Add and minus (-7/2)^2

x^2 - 7x + (-7/2)^2 + 12 -(-7/2)^2  =0

(x - 7/2)^2 +12 - 49/4 = 0

(x - 7/2)^2 - 1/4 = 0

(x - 7/2)^2 =  1/4  Taking square root on both sides,

x - 7/2 = +1/2 and -1/2

x = 1/2 + 7/2 = 8/2 = 4 and x = -1/2 + 7/2 = 6/2 =3

Therefore x = 4 or x= 3
