Let PD=xm
In right ▲PDB
PD/BD =tan 30° or xroot3 =BD (1)
In right ▲PCA
PC/AC = tan45°
= x+8/BD = 1 ( as AC = BD)
= x + 8 = BD
= x+8=xroot 3 (from 1)
=x(root 3 -1 ) = 8
By solving this eq.
we get , 4 ( root 3 +1 )
From (1)
BD =[4(root 3 +1 )]root 3 =4(3+root 3)
So ,
the height of multi storyed building is
{ 4 ( 3 + root 3 ) m
nd distance is also
4 (3+ root3) m .
