using the above theorem we get
am = mb = \frac{ab}{2}
also
cn = nd = \frac{cd}{2}
but AB=CD
therefore
AM=CN.....….……….....….……….....….………1

now join AP and CP
in righe angled ∆ANP and ∆CNP
AP =CP.....….……….....….………radii of same circle
AM=CN.....….……….....….……….....….………FROM 1
so
∆ANP is congruent ∆CNP
PM=PN.....….……….....….………c.s.c.t.
