Explanation:

This expansion of water is caused due to the anomalous behaviour of water.

i.e Water is a exceptional case when compared to other liquids because when liquids are changed to solid state, their volume will decrease and density will increase.

But in case of water when it turns into ice, it's density decreases and its volume increases.

Conclusion:

As the bottle is completely filled with water and there is no space remaining for ice to expand its pressure on walls of bottle increases and finally breaks the bottle to expand.
