4. The framers of the Indian Constitution adopted various features like the federal
form of government, Fundamental Rights and the system of check and balance
from the American Revolution.
5. French Revolution of 1789 is considered as a turning point in human history
because it revolutionized the social, economic and political aspect not only in
France but all over the world.
6. The political philosophers like Voltaire, Rousseau and Montesquieu inspired the
people with their ideas of liberty, equality, fraternity and sovereignty. Through
their writings, the philosophers highlighted the evils of French society and
government which paved the way for the people to revolt and fight for their
