Slicers feature allows you to filter the data of pivot tables interactively.

Short notes on Slicers:

(i) They are visual filters which make filtering more visually appealing than with standard filters.  

(ii) The main purpose of slicers is 'to filter the data present in pivot table'.

(iii) They can be inserted for each of the fields that you want to filter.

How to Insert Slicers:

(i) Before adding slicer, Create a pivot table.

(ii) Select the data and go to insert tab and then click on pivot table.

(iii) Click on the insert slicer button in the filter group and select a field from list.

(iv) Click the checkbox by next to the field name by which to filter the data.

(v) Click OK.
