In the rectangle, the length and the diagonal are given, 40 cm and 41 cm respectively. We can find the breadth by taking the square root of the difference of the squares of both length and diagonal.

Breadth = √(41² - 40²)

Breadth = √(1681 - 1600)

Breadth = √81

Breadth = 9 cm

Hence perimeter is 2(40 + 9) = 2 × 49 = 98 cm.

In the rhombus, the diagonals are given, 16 cm and 30 cm. First we have to take the half of both.

So, 8 cm and 15 cm.

The square root of the sum of squares of these two gives one side of the rhombus. So,

√(8² + 15²) = √(64 + 225) = √289 = 17 cm

Hence the perimeter is 4 × 17 = 85 cm.
