According to the question,

For the first km the fare is Rs 10 and for the subsequent kms it is Rs 4.50 per km.

Therefore the linear equation is

10 + 4.50(X 1) = Y

-> 10 + 4.5X 4.5 = Y

-> 4.5X + 5.5 = Y

-> 4.5X - Y = -5.5

in the parallelogram sum of adjacent angle is 180°

angle A + angle D = 180 °

in ΔAOD

angle OAD + angle ODA + Angle AOD = 180°

Angle A /2 + Angle D / 2 + angle AOD = 180°

90° + angle AOD = 180°

Angle AOD = 90°

PQ ∥ AC & SR ∥ AC therefore PQ ∥ SR and PQ=SR. Hence, a quadrilateral with opposite sides equal and paralle is a parallelogram. Therefore PQRS is a parallelogram.

14.

In the figure attached, there is a circle having AB as the diameter and angle ADC = 30 °

Since angle subtended by the diameter on the circumference of a circle is 90°,

M angle ACB = 90°

Sum of opposite angles of a quadrilateral in a circle is 180°.

Therefore, angle ADC + angle CBA = 180°

130° + angle CBA = 180°

angle CBA = 180 - 130 = 50°

Now in ΔBAC,

angel BAC + angle ACB + angle CBA = 180°

angle BAC + 90°+ 50° = 180°

angle BAC = 180° - 140° = 40°

Therefore, measure of angle BAC is 40°.

ANSWER

Let ∠A be 2x

Let ∠D be 2y

Since AB∥DC , sum of angles on same side of the transversal AD will be 180

o

=>2x+2y=180

o

x+y=90

o

After bisection of angles A and D, we get ∠1=x and ∠2=y as per the given figure.

Now in △AOD, we have

x+y+∠AOD=180

o

90

o

+∠AOD=180

o

=>∠AOD=90
