Answer all of the following questions.
1. Why do you think the seed shrivels and becomes small after germination?

1. There is a cotyledon that nourishes the seed and provides it all the essential materials. Germination occurs when the cotyledon is no more able to supply the nutrients and thus due to the absence of cotyledon, the seed becomes small after germination.

2. Yes, seeds need air to germinate.

3. Most of the moths pollinate during the night time. Moths are generally attracted by the flowers with heavy smell and copious dilute nectar and moths causes pollination in these flowers.
