This is really deep and serious topic. People usually just ignore and try to avoid discussing such topics. Some people who get overwhelmed by Life's challenges often have such dangerous and life threatening thoughts. People with serious anxiety and depression often think of self harm.

We need to show them our love, sincerity and empathy. We need to know what they are going through to be able to understand and help them. Make them believe in life and self love.
