a). splitting the hydrogen and oxygen in water is accomplished using a process called " water electrolysis " in which both the hydrogen and oxygen molecules separate into individual gases via separate " evolution reactions ".,Each evolution reaction is induced by an electrode in the presence of a catalyst.

b). in a flame pure hydrogen gas, burning in air,the hydrogen (H2) reacts with oxygen (o2) to form water ( H2o) and releases energy. if carried out in atmospheric air instead of pure oxygen as, is usually the case, hydrogen combustion may yield small amounts of nitrogen oxides, along with the water vapor.

c). Addition of sliver nitrate to hydrochloric acid, gives an insoluble precipitate of the respective chloride, This precipitate is soluble in ammonium hydroxide

d). iron being more reactive than copper will displace copper from its salt and form a subsequent salt of ferrous sulphate. during the reaction, the colour of copper sulphate ( blue) will change to greenish-blue (ferrous sulphate) . This is an example of a Displacement reaction.
