Answer all the questions.
.Solve for xand y: 3 x + 4y = 10 and 2x - 2y = 2.​

We can solve this question by elimination method :

Let

3x + 4y = 10 - - - eq(1)

2x + 2y = 2 - - - - eq(2)

Now,

2(3x + 4y) = 10 *2

6x + 8y = 20 - - - - - eq(3)

3(2x - 2y) = 2*3

6x - 6y = 6 - - - - - - eq(4)

Now, subtract eq(3) from eq(4)

We get,

14y = 14

y = 1

Put value of y in eq(2)

2x - 2y = 2

2x - 2(1) =2

2x =2+2

x = 4/2

x = 2

So value of x = 2 & value of y = 1
