Answer:

1. Rusting is an oxidation reaction. The iron reacts with water and oxygen to form hydrated iron.oxide, which we see as rust. Iron and steel rust when they come into contact with water and oxygen – both are needed for rusting to occur.

2. Galvanization is the process of applying a protective layer of zinc on a metal. It is a very common method of preventing the rusting of iron. Providing the metals with an electric charge can help inhibit the electrochemical reactions that lead to rusting.

3. Carbondioxide dioxiide gas is envolved in the reactio between baking soda and vinegar.

4. When an iron nail immersed in the solution of copper sulphate than iron displaces copper from the solution of copper sulphate because iron is more reactive than copper. Therefore copper sulphate solution colour changes from blue to pale green.

5. Salt is obtained from seawater by the process of Evaporation. Seawater is trapped in large, shallow pools and allowed to stand there. The sun's heat evaporates the water slowly and common salt is left behind. This salt is further collected, purified and packed for domestic use.
