1. When Lead acetate paper is brought near HCl and H2S gases, H2S gas turns it black.

2. When alkaline KMnO4 solution is brought near SO2 and CO2, SO2 turns it colourless .

3. Add water on both Cl2 and NO2...
Cl2 will give HCl and HClO whereas NO2 will give HNO2 and HNO3.

4. Oxygen is odourless whereas ammonia is a pungent smelling gas.

5. Ammonia, when burns in air, produces a yellowish green flame...in case of HCl there is no observation.
