$12 {x}^{2} - 7x + 1$

$12 {x}^{2} - 4x - 3x + 1 \\ 4x(3x - 1) - 1(3x - 1)$

$(4x - 1)(3x - 1) \\ x = \frac{1}{4} \\ x = \frac{1}{3}$

b)

$2 {x}^{2} + 7x + 3 \\ 2 {x}^{2} + 6x + x + 3 \\ 2x(x + 3) + 1(x + 3) \\ (x + 3)(2x + 1)$

$x = - 3 \\ x = \frac{ - 1}{2}$
