a. Evelyn's deafness first came to light when she was eight years old.Her name was announced to play on piano but she did not reply.Her deafness was confirmed when she was eleven years old as her marks deteriorated.
b. Ron forbes helped Evelyn to continue with music. He tuned two large drums to different notes and asked Evelyn to hear the sound not through ears but try to hear them in some other way.
