Answers
Answer:
(a) The poet sees how the snakes lifts his head, and looks at the poet vaguely, as he would expect from cattle.
(b) Michael’s dad was ‘nutty’ and obsesses with technology and new electronics, and used to buy the newest gadgets as soon as they came to the market, such was his obsession with gadgets.
(c) Brutus justified his assassination of Julius Caesar by saying that his love for Rome was more than his love for his friend, and he also thought that Caesar was becoming too ambitious and autocratic, due to which he decided to kill him.
(d) Lavinia was suspicious of John’s faithfulness, as she thought he was seeing someone behind her back. She left for her grandmother’s house and told john to contact her through her lawyers.
(e) The mariners were angry with the Ancient Mariner as he had killed the innocent albatross that had got them good luck and got them out of the land of ice and snow. After the Ancient Mariner had killed the albatross, bad luck followed, as there was no wind in the sails, the sun was bright and hot in the sky, and the ship stood motionless in the sea, which made the mariners angry at the ancient mariner.
