The poet highlighted how only the legs of the statue of King Ozymandias were standing straight, the torso has fallen down and is almost buried in the desert. The message he wanted to tell through his poem was that the glories of giving life while fighting were just like a shadow which is remembered for a short while it is not remembered for ever. The attempt of building statues and monuments in order to remember their bravery also goes waste as the time passes.
