Answers
The correct answers are -
(a) Aunt Jennifer was the victim of a family of her own. She was dominated by her husband and the burden of life appears to weigh down her wedding ring. Her ideas emerged from her pet. She was a naïve wife who dominated her husband but the animals she made defied her nature as brazen and wild as they were. She vented her feelings through her artistry with a sense of hope that she could be the same, but she lost all strength to fight back the dominance of her husband.
(b) Saheb was not happy working at the tea shop. He had job security, as he was placed at the tea stall as a helper, but by working as an employee he had lost his freedom. He earned Rs. 800 together with timely meals but at the same time became a child labour. He contrasts the two circumstances and states that although he lived his life as a rag picker in confusion, he had the right to go around anywhere and plan for his everyday needs.
(e) During the war Dr. Sadao was not sent to Japanese forces overseas for two reasons. Firstly, he was involved in a research that could help to heal wounds more quickly. The second reason was that old general Yakima needed an immediate surgery any time and Dr. Sadao was the one to rely upon. General believed that even if he died in the process, since all the surgeons were from Germany they shall still declare the surgery to be successful, hence he decided not to let Sadao and his troops go.
f) Roger Skunk had been a character told to Jo in the story of Jack. The story followed a pattern where the plot revolved around a small animal called Roger who would be the last name of any creature with which he was associated. He'd face some problem or the other, and go to the wise owl to ask for help. He went to the owl to seek his advice, to get rid of his issue as he did not had any friends in the jungle because of this problem.
