(a) Potol Babu was actually a resident of Kanchrapara and was an employee in the railway factory. However, when he was offered the clerical post at Hudson & Kimberley and with a much higher wage, he left his place and shifted there. Besides, he had also found a flat in Nepal Bhattacharjee Lane to put himself up.
(b) The poet had thrown a log at the snake. Petrified, the snake digged its head into the hole retreated into its home. Seeing this, the poet was filled with anger at the creature withdrawing from the battlefield instead of confronting the attack. Thus, he picked up a log and hurled it at the snake. This “mean” act has been referred to by the poet in the poem “Snake”.
(c) Michael looked up the internet resource and discovery how a person’s memory gets transferred to some electrical gadget. He realized that before the accident occurred, Sebastian was playing some psycho-drive game and as soon as he was hit, his memory got transferred and saved into the computer. This psycho-drive game was robbed from his house and were landed in the computer fair from where coincidentally, Michael and his father happened to buy it. Thus, Sebastian Shultz’s memory got transferred to Michael’s computer. This is how Michael explained the reason for Sebastian Shultz’s miraculous recovery.
(d) Calpumia dreams of Ceasar being brutally murdered with blood oozing out from his statue. Calpumia also Dreams of the Romans who have to bath their hands in Caesar’s blood. However, Decius Brutus misinterprets the dream and says that Caesar’s life would influence the Romans so much that they would offer their gratitude and reverence to the personality by soaking their handkerchiefs in his blood. This would signify colors attached to the coat of arms. Brutus interprets the dream as a n auspicious one.
(e) The ghost, Helen, tells John Hallock about herself and her companions who were part of “The Writer’s Inspiration Bureau” and who were calling for a strike. This implied that writers like JOHN Hallock would not get ideas for another plot from them. Helen and her companions were exhausted of being called up at odd hours in the night , just to answer to some silly questions of people who joined together at the Ouija board. Thus, the ghosts called for a strike as an action against this torture.
