They could not find the evil one. They prayed to God to make the Scorpion sit still, So that it’s poison did not move in mother’s body. They helped that her Suffering in this life would prove a blassing in many ways. But the poet’s father was guided by reason. He tried hard to provide relief to the mother. A holy man performed puja to tame poison, The mother thanked God for Sparing her Children. The poet presents a picture of Indian village life. The peasents are Simple-hearted and Superstitious peaple. They have blind faith in sins, rebirth and evils. They trust fate and God more than active Service.
