) Answer any one of the following questions in about 100-150 words.
(a)Mass of a body is 25 kg. What is its weight in Newton on earth? The body is carried to a
planet whose mass is two times the mass of earth and radius is half that of earth. What will be
the mass and weight of the body on the planet? (Take the value of g on earth as 10 m s–2)

m=25 kg
So, w=mg
w=25*10=250 N
In the next case,
M=2m , R=r/2
g=Gm/r*r
g'=acceleration due to gravity on that planet
g'=GM/R*R
then value of g' after calculating will be,
g'=8g
then putting the value of g , we will get,
g'=80 metre per second square
So mass will remain the same i.e. 25 kg
Weight=mg'
=25*80=2000 N
Thanks....
