Wanda was a poor Polish girl. She used to sit in a lonely corner of the classroom where the noisy rough boys sat. She always wore pale blue dress that was never ironed. Despite all that, she was very intelligent and dignified. She was a talented artist and had drawn a hundred dresses for a drawing competition which she ultimately won. She won the heart of her classmates when she gave those drawings to them.

Horace Danby was not an ordinary thief. He planned his robbery very meticulously. But the lady in red was also a good actress, intelligent and confident. She had better presence of mind than Horace. She cleverly exploited Horace’ fear of police and tricked him to open the safe for her without using gloves. She went away with the jewels and Horace went to jail.

wand was a poor girl which does not talks much. Because of this poor nature everybody of the  class made fun on Wanda. Mainly it was by Peggy which was the most famous and influenced person of the class. her friend maggy had tried to tease her but she was afraid of that.

                                                                      Wanda always wore the same faded blue dress to  the school. Peggy made fun of her by asking her how many dresses she had. She always replied that she had a hundred dresses. by hearing this Peggy will start to laugh.finally a dress competition was arranged for girls. Peggy was a good drawer. she went to participate  in the contest but when she reached there there she found many drawings of dresses, she found that all of those was drawn by Wanda. at that moment Peggy realized that the hundred dresses she meant were drawings. so it is said that appearance cannot be detective as Wanda proved her skills and abilities finally.
