1.As the britishers came to India for making profit the established the East India company
2. britishers where King on growing opium in India because they were selling the opium to those country where the demand of opium is high and were making profit
3.At that time the practice of smoking was spread to East countries so the demand of opium was increased so gaining more profit the were using the Indian labour's for growing opium in India
4.britishers were growing opium and selling to China as China was converted to a large market of opium while selling them they could buy some luxury things
5.for gaining a large profit they started cultivating opium in India
